Best Buddies Canada is pleased to announce the winners of the 2015/16 Spirit of Friendship Award, Annick Léger and Dalainey Gervais of Mississauga, ON. The pair have been Best Buddies for three years and have spent that time building a friendship that will last a lifetime.

Annick and Dalainey spend part of almost every day together at school and have bonded over their love of art and often create pieces together. They even attended prom together last year for Annick’s grade 12 year! Between Annick’s competitions for her Special Olympics rhythmic gymnastics’ team and Dailainey’s heavy academic program, they still regularly get together on weekends to hang-out, have sleep overs, get their nails done, and create some funky art.

Sainte-Famille staff advisor, Lynn Nolan-Fox, says; “They are a truly inspirational pair [and] their friendship is most definitely an enduring one that will last well past high school.”

Annick and Dalainey are true ambassadors of the Best Buddies program and an inspiration to many!

Congratulations Annick and Dalainey!
